What would be the top 3 benefits if the leaders of your organisation would adopt a compass and coaching approach?
If they are a compass, they set direction. They give emphasis on leading and being effective.
If they are a clock, they manage. They give emphasis on managing and being efficient.
The compass and the clock need each other. However, successful leaders move from managing to leading, spending more time inspiring and giving direction and using coaching as a long and lasting development skills.
I really like this article of Harvard Business Review. It is a couple of years old but it summarises the key reasons why coaching should be used at all levels within an organisation, including senior management.
